Bracing and Orthotics

The therapists at Mountainside Physiotherapy can help you with acquiring the appropriate bracing and orthotic products to maximize function and minimize discomfort. We provide an array of off the shelf and custom bracing products including ligament and stability bracing, meniscal and arthritis offloading, and custom orthotics.

Lindsey completed her Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2010, and Baccalaureate in Human Kinetics in 2008, at the University of British Columbia. She has since continued post-graduate training in the areas of Manual Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Neural manipulation, Pilates, Posture Correction, and the McKenzie Method.

Lindsey has also received certification in the practice of Anatomical Acupuncture, and is a Gunn IMS certified practitioner.

Additionally, Lindsey is a registered 200hr Yoga instructor.

Lindsey’s experience as a physiotherapist varies, although her passion is working with athletes of all ages and abilities. Competing in her younger years on a provincial level in Boarder Cross and Slopestyle, and internationally on the Canadian Trampoline Team Lindsey understands the demands athletes place on their bodies and minds.

Raised in the mountains of Revelstoke, Lindsey has always valued a healthy lifestyle. Today an avid skier, mountain biker, and overall lover of mountain life, she knows personally as well as professionally the benefit of a healthy body.

Britt completed her masters in Physical Therapy at University of British Columbia as a part of the Northern and Rural cohort based in Prince George. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. Britt has also completed her level 1 course in Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the Canadian Division of Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative therapy.

Britt’s treatment approach utilizes manual therapy techniques, active strategies and evidence-based education to reduce pain, improve movement and prevent further injury.

With a background in high level athletics Britt understands the requirements of elite and recreational sport and what it takes to successfully rehabilitate and return to sport.

Growing up in Revelstoke, Britt has always led an active lifestyle. She is particularly passionate about mountain biking and skiing and appreciates how difficult it can be when you aren’t able to participate in the activities that you love. Rachel completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2020 from the University of Alberta, and her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University in 2017. Since graduating, she has been pursuing her career in private practice in Calgary, but decided to make the jump to Revelstoke to continue growing her career.

Rachel has experience working with a variety of populations – from your elite level athlete to your weekend loving recreationalist. Her treatment approach consists of both manual and exercise-based therapy. She always makes sure that her clients feel heard while working with them to accomplish their rehab goals. Growing up as a dancer, Rachel has developed a diverse exercise/movement background that definitely translates into her treatment style as a physiotherapist.

During her time off, you can find Rachel skiing, biking, climbing, and occasionally just chilling. She understands the value of health, and will make sure you are well taken care of.

Shawna is currently on maternity leave.

Shawna completed her Masters in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2013, and her BSc (with honours) in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa in 2010.

Since Graduating Shawna has practiced in a variety of settings including, private practice, inpatients, outpatients and long term care. These varied experiences have allowed her to practice in the areas of sports injuries, chronic pain, vestibular rehabilitation , post operative rehabilitation and concussion management. Shawna has completed post graduate courses in Manual Therapy, Acupuncture and Vestibular Rehabilitation.

Originally from Newfoundland, Shawna has always led an active lifestyle. While attending school she was a competitive swimmer and soccer player. Since moving to Revelstoke Shawna has continued her active lifestyle in the mountains, skiing, mountain biking and hiking.
